This one took some real planning. The goal was to connect the home deck and the pool deck in a way that felt intentional - not just functional. That means getting the stairs, the landing, and the support structure all working together so nothing feels like an afterthought.

The wire railing panels were a deliberate choice here. They keep the structure safe without blocking your line of sight across the yard. It's a clean look that works well with the open layout, and it holds up just as well as traditional balusters over time.

What you don't always see on a job like this is what's underneath. The post and beam framing running the full length of the pool deck is solid - properly spaced posts set into the ground with clean framing above. That substructure is what keeps a deck like this from shifting, sagging, or getting spongy after a few seasons. We don't cut corners on what you can't see.

The stair and landing section is where the custom work really shows. Getting the transition from one deck level to another to feel natural - with the right rise, the right tread depth, and railing that follows the angle correctly - that's the kind of detail that separates a well-built deck from one that just looks okay in photos.

Every layout is different. That's exactly why we plan each build from scratch rather than trying to fit a cookie-cutter approach onto a property that doesn't call for one. If you've got a tricky layout and want it done right, we're the team for it.
